Another Lunar Eclipse over Parramatta
— June 26 2010 —

A modest partial eclipse - no reddening noticeable on the dark limb - but a very clear and distinct shadow on a superb cloud-free night.
The full moon shows no sign of the penumbral shadow - even though it is certainly on the moon by now
The penumbral shadow covers almost the entire face, and the umbral shadow begins to creep in at lower left.
The umbral shadow advances
...slowly...
The eclipse is at maximum now.
...as the shadow begins to recede.
...a little more...
...and is just visible top left (which illustrates the rotation of the shadow around the moon's surface).

Here is the whole sequence.
