This picture was allocated a whole page. Not only was Button school captain he was an outstanding track and field athlete.

Click to enlarge W Isles and A Hammond - 1st and 2nd in both 220 and 440 yards Championship, August 31st, 1928. The 220 was run in 24 1-5, equalling school record.
Messrs Isles and Hammond were also allocated a whole page.
