Parramatta & District Historical Society Visit
24 June 2007

The cold rain did nothing to dampen the spirits of the hardy souls from the Parramatta & District Historical Society. A nice hot cup of tea and some cake revived everyone's spirits before undertaking a tour of the school.

Miss Campbell, our Heritage Officer, spoke about some of the school's history before taking the group to see the Heritage and Archives Room. The Society's current president - Mr Dave Shakespeare, former headmaster of Arthur Phillip High School was tour leader for the day and presented the school with a copy of the Society's latest publication.

The school has a long friendship with the Society which was also established in 1913. In 2003, we were invited to attend the official dedication of the completion of refurbishment works at the Society headquarters, Hambledon Cottage. Read about that day here
