The Moon and Venus


A very pretty close conjunction on September 7th, 2005.
Jupiter is out of the frame, nearer the horizon.


This is how "Starry Nights" saw the same tableau.

The naked-eye view saw Venus as bright and magnificent, next to the skinny 3-day-old moon.
