Jack Freeman enrolled at Parramatta High School in 1935 and
was Dux of School in 1939.

specialising in modern languages. After a year at Kogarah High, Mr Freeman was transferred to his first
country posting at Murrumburrah (1947-54).
He returned to Parramatta High School in 1955, in the languages faculty before accepting a promotion as
Special Master at Merrylands High in 1961.
Mr Freeman's first executive appointment was as Deputy Principal at Richmond High School where he spent
five years (1968 to 1972).
As a principal, Mr Freeman served both Cabramatta High (1974-79) and

the main building occurred just days before his retirement.
Mr Freeman has also been a professional musician, accompanying in the clubs, and conducting for musical

Mr and Mrs Freeman maintain their interest in the school and regularly return to perform the
original school song.
