Flagpole plaque.

The badge

This flagpole was erected by the staff and pupils of this school, with
the assistance of exstudents, parents and other patriotic citizens of the
Parramatta district to commemorate the victory of our armies and those
of our allies in the Great War (1914-1919).

On 18th July, 1919, the Union Jack and the Australian Commonwealth Flag
were hoisted for the first time by the Mayoress, (Mrs L.A.Simpson) and
Mrs F.J.Thomas respectively, in celebration of the signing of the
Peace Treaty on 28th June, 1919. - Esto perpetua.
