![]() The morning tea was also an opportunity to recognise the commitment to the school of former students Jack and Dora Freeman (LC1935). Jack was Dux of School in 1939. Both returned to teach at the school and Jack was headmaster from 1979-82. But it was their inexhaustible energy and interest in music productions for which they are most fondly remembered. At a time when the only other school staging musicals was the King's School, Jack and Dora saw the potential for the students to develop talents they weren't aware they possessed. Gilbert and Sullivan greats inlcuding HMS Pinafore, The Gondoliers and The Mikado were just a few of the many productions staged over the years.

A long overdue acknowledgement of the enthusiasm and interest in their old school and the many students in their care. The award was presented by last year's recipient Goodwin Packer. |
