The Phoenix

(In 1944, the PHS School Magazine was reborn as "Phœnix". Pre-1944 editions are occasionally referred to by that name on this site for convenience and by convention.)
In the December 1916 edition - page 4 - there appears the first written history of the school. Common sense and good judgement dictate that this material deserves transcription... nevertheless...
